AFP 5-Year Review Course
Thursday, September 18 and Friday, September 19 2008

  • The AFP 5-Year Review Course offers development professionals an opportunity to review the main components of a complete fundraising program, prepare for the CFRE exam, or evaluate your knowledge and experience with others in the field at the 5-year level. It is a two-day, intensive program that focuses on the terminology, organization, and structure of a development operation.

  • Topics include:

    • History of philanthropy

    • Laying the foundation for fund development

    • Defining an integrated development program

    • Making the case

    • Volunteers and staff: roles, responsibilities, and relationships

    • Identifying, involving, and retaining current and prospective donors

    • Annual, capital and planned giving along with various fundraising methods

    • Marketing

Please Note:

  • Payment must be received with pre-registrations (either by credit card or check).


  • We do not accept pre-registrations without payment. 


  • You may use a credit card to hold a reservation if you wish to pay by check onsite.


  • If registrant does not show, the regular rate will be charged to the credit card used to hold reservation. 


  • If final payment for pre-registration is not received by the Monday prior to the Review Course, registrant must pay onsite fee. 


  • If registrant cannot pre-pay with pre-registration, registrant must pay onsite with the onsite rate. 


  • We cannot take reservations over the phone.  The AFPOC office requires formal documentation of your registration (either by online registration, faxed form or mailed in form).  This will ensure your registration gets properly processed. 


  • If you need to cancel your registration, you must let us know by 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008.
