In today's competitive fundraising environment, it is critical
for an organization to make a compelling case for why it
deserves funding. Board and staff members usually feel they know
why people give to the organization. But, have you asked your
donors lately what are the compelling reasons why they
contribute? This session focuses on how to assess, evaluate and
retool your current written case for support and how to engage
your organization's board, donors and staff in the process.

About the Presenter:
Barbara L. Ciconte, CFRE, is the senior
vice president, consulting services, for Donor Strategies, Inc.
She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than twenty-five
years and has experience in all facets of nonprofit management
and resource development. A leading national educator, she
conducts workshops and seminars for international, national,
regional and community-based nonprofit organizations. Ms.
Ciconte is the co-author of Fundraising Basics: A Complete
Guide, Second Edition, published by Jones & Bartlett. She
is a past recipient of the AFP Greater Washington, D.C.
Chapter's Outstanding Fundraising Professional award.
